Star Wars Black Series: Rebel Trooper Figure Unboxing Photo Review

hope

Hey, Leia, we did have few minutes while running away from Vader. How about we copy and mass-produce the Death Star plan and start throwing it in every direction and even broadcast that information so the entire galaxy would know the weakness? Vader would of shit his pants!! No, seriously, it only took a minute or so for the entire Death Star Plan to be transferred from the ground to a ship in space. It should only take a second to copy the file within the starship computer. OR give the copied data to R2 and then give the original data disc to Vader so he will be satisfied with retrieving the data disc? That would have increased the success rate and maybe Alderaan would have been saved.

The Rebel Trooper comes with one blaster, a removable helmet, and a typical Black Series articulations. Wished Hasbro would have given a swappable faceplate like the Hoth Trooper but these guys came way before so I can’t complain.

So here they are! Redshirts of the Star Wars! Though they are all the same head, if you angle them right, you wouldn’t notice that would you?

I heard in the documentary that George was very much frustrated in ANH because a lot of actors and staff didn’t take him seriously. Like the ending scene where the rebels were there to celebrate, the actors showed no motivation so Mark Hamill needed to go out and tell them that they are the heroes who saved the galaxy and the scene is about to celebrate them all. After that, the actor did show some passion. But I think the actor who played Pello Scrambas (Eddie Eddon) was quite serious on his part. It was in his eyes.

Honestly, this scene was more like a horror movie lol. And I love horror movies.

I am totally ok people liking the Sequels or the Solo film unless they try to make it sound like those are some masterpiece. But in my opinion, Rogue One was the only decent Disney Star Wars since the director Edward respected George Lucas and was passionate about getting things right. And George actually did comment that he liked it. And I am not surprised why.

The iconic scene isn’t it? By the way for those who are wondering, I have Tantive IV diorama making video next to share with all of you!

By the way, if you did miss out on buying these Rebel Troopers, do not worry. I am quite sure they will be rereleased in the new box design in the Rogue One or ANH line OR in the Archive line.

Most of the phone cameras today mimic the blur on the unfocused spot like how a DSLR does. Even if these figures all share the same head, the blur does hide that nicely.

Love it. Love it so much. Army builders versus army builders.

I understand why people call Stormtrooper having poor aim but in this scene, the Stormtrooper was in the “kill zone” which is extremely low in survival rate while the Rebels were behind pillars to shield themselves. Yet, there were only 3 Stormtroopers down and the Rebels were completely destroyed. So maybe the poor aim is only toward the protagonist.

I think the Vader arrival scene is the most shocking image I saw in my entire movie watching history. Dead rebellion soldier, smoke flooding the white spaceship, and right in the middle of these scary white troopers, comes a menacing black-uniformed warrior. I have no idea how George pulled this out.

And as you can see I was having so much fun taking photos. What? This review’s about the Rebel Troopers? Yea, them been dead is part of it so it’s still on the right course.

Vader: How many of us died?

Stormtrooper: 3 my lord. But if you would have done the R1 stuff and went in first, I think there would have been no casualties on our side boss.
Vader: Shut up Kyle.

Anyhow, I love these figures. Every action scene needs a fallen soldier and these Rebel Troopers are fantastic! If you missed getting them, I really do hope you’ll all get one in their next rerelease!

The next review will be on 1/12 Scale Tantive IV diorama making! Please, look forward 🙂
