Fate Grand Order / Figma: Ritsuka Fujimaru Figure Unboxing Photo Review

The Last Master

God, I have no idea how many Fate series there are now. Yes, I was there from when it was first announced. No, I didn’t play the first released porn game but I did play the console version that came later. But now, there’s so many different series (with ridiculous title), I have no idea what’s going on in the Fate franchise.

The typical box is from Figma and I love those anime accurate promo images. By the way, this figure is an event and Max Factory Store exclusive. I do not understand why they didn’t offer this as a regular release since Fujimaru is the main protagonist of several Fate series.

And his proportions are great as usual.

Fujimaru comes with 3 faceplates and his iconic cape. But if you install the cape, due to it’s made of plastic, Fujimaru will lose his arm articulation. Oh, btw my stand came broken so I cannot comment on that.

He also comes with his furry friend and it’s slightly different from the one we got with Mashu. He’s a bit bigger and instead of walking, he comes in a sitting pose.

I love this shy face! He’s so adorable!! I am sure he wouldn’t know where to look if double Sabers come with such open cloth.

I am not sure if Mashu can handle Alt-Saber’s Excalibar combos lol.

Yes, I know this is a short review because other than the accessories and informing you all how much I like Fujimaru, the articulation of the figure is good as any typical Figma figures.

Go for it! You two are just so adorable that if you guys don’t go out, I am going to throw my table out the door!! What? Mashu can’t live long? Screw that! Go inform that to your King Gilgamesh and he’ll happily give you the Holy Grail. And if the production doesn’t allow Mashu to live long, we fans will go march to the studio and there will be heads on our fork!!

Overall, I love this figure and 50% of the reason is that shy faceplate alone and the other 50% is my Mashu need her senpai. And I am quite disappointed that he was not a regular release. I am so sure a lot of fans would have wanted him and I am all about “collectors should get what they want”. Making some sort of variant is ok as an exclusive but having such a major character out of fan’s reach is frankly disturbing. I was lucky getting him but I do hope all of you who want this figure somehow find a way. Or maybe in the next arc, Max Factory may offer him as a regular release (with a different costume most likely) but anyhow, I do wish fans can one day have him on their shelf.

Now this is my last blog post for 2020 and seriously, fuck off 2020. It is definitely the most hated year of the decade and we look forward for 2021 to give us a brighter future!
