Some people think Fate Stay night and this version of Gilgamesh are too different while I see no difference. Stay-Night Gilgamesh was more aggressive and emotional but he still did respect those he respects highly and cared. The difference is, the Caster Gilgamesh is supposed to be Gilgamesh after the journey of youth. This Gilgamesh was wiser and loved by his people unlike his younger version who were ruthless.

Caster Gilgamesh is very tall. Much taller than the Archer Gilgamesh so I am quite weirded out. That said, the sculpt is great. However, due to the design, his leg articulation is quite poor and his bird fetish tail isn’t helping. I would have wanted him to at least sit down so I can make him a thrown but that’s impossible.

He comes with three face plates, ok amount of hand options, a massive ax like a spear that I don’t remember him using much at all, and a Yu-Gi-Oh’s Black Magician Girl like a book.

I love this version of Gilgamesh too. He was very respectful toward his servant but I think the Archer Gilgamesh was the same. Anyone who offer him their loyalty and love, he would return for sure. A true king in my definition.

Archer Gilgamesh isn’t happy why the Caster Gilgamesh is taller lol.

If you are wondering, you can use face plates from Archer Gilgamesh for the Caster Gilgamesh but not the opposite due to the different pegs they use.

Gilgamesh is quite OP. He was able to summon seven servants all alone and not only that, he was supplying his castle with his mana. That’s insane. So if Caster Gilgamesh was summoned in Fate Zero or Stay Night, his master would have won definitely.

He is insanely powerful but I wonder. He wasn’t able to beat Enkidu 2.0. It also seems like Quetzalcoatl could defeat Gilgamesh too considering her power been beyond most servants we have seen. That said if Gilgamesh never did use his mana to summon his servants or used it to run his castle, he might of able to overcome Enkidu.

But unlike the Archer version which is a very offensive class, the caster is quite a defensive class so it does make sense why he didn’t look all that powerful. And we did see his Archer version coming by to show off his second to none power.

Overall, it was an a-ok figure. Wonderful character though. Oh, and I must say, his leg joints are very sloppy so he does fall quite easily. It’s not for everyone but if you love Gilgamesh, here he is.
By the way, Max Factory, where is our Stay-Night Berserker and Iria?? We are waiting forever for them lol.
