Happy Halloween!
Since most of us cannot go outside wearing a costume, for Halloween month, I decided to do a prop unboxing review, and here is something special for me to share.
I love Boba Fett and if you’re a Star Wars fan, and I mean, Star Wars fan from the George Lucas era, then you would probably love him too. And THIS IS MOLDED USING THE ORIGINAL PROP! IE: THIS IS AS REAL AS IT CAN GET!!

So like I’ve said, this Boba Fett helmet uses the original ESB prop helmet that was actually used in the film. When this was announced, we were all so excited. But it took EFX forever and I mean forever to release the helmet to us.
EFX released their mold making video on July 22, 2013. Meaning they could have offered the helmet for production within that year but it took them 6 years from there to offer this helmet.
EFX doesn’t offer too many products but they are known for their detail. I have purchased ANH Darth Vader that was also made from the original prop and the quality is promising and this Boba Fett Helmet is no different.
EFX also comes with proof of authenticity too.

The target scope tip uses black and transparent plastic with two red LED lights installed inside. The light will activate and blink once you drop the scope down. Something we did not see in the film but it’s a great addition to the detail. The amazing thing about the EFX is that they have calculated the light blinking from the original prop so the timing of the light blinking is accurate to the prop too.
To activate the LED light, simply drop the target scope with your hand as you can see here.
The boarding circuit is metal and this small little piece really does offer a great additional reality to the helmet. I love how George Lucas’s era Star Wars had these realistic factors everywhere.
And the calculator board on the back of Boba Fett is something I really love. It’s beautiful and sharp. Because they are using an actual replica of the calculator board, you can also see the board’s detail inside the slot too.
There is no detail nor decent padding inside the helmet since the EFX helmet isn’t meant to wear. The plastic itself is very thin and it will probably break easily if you do not take good care. If you want to go outside and play around with one, I suggest you get yourself the Hasbro Black Series one. Honestly, the plastic quality for the EFX is not impressive at all.
